Many of the inexpensive electric start kits sold online are designed for older GX390 engines and will not properly fit or function on newer model engines. While they may look similar, Honda changed the flywheel and ignition configuration on newer GX390 engines, making many low-cost kits incompatible.

This kit is the correct version for newer Honda GX390 engines and includes the proper components for reliable installation and operation.
